Sony’s first iOS apps (controversial at the time as they were launching their own devices) were event based apps for the E3 Expo in Los Angeles and Cologne. These event based apps used basic GPS and primitive AR technologies to help journalists and guests navigate around the trade shows and gift users discount food vouchers and local travel options with partners in both locations. This was across iOS, Android and Blackberry.
